Sparring is an Official Olympic Sport and has been since the 2000 games. Our schools team practices the Olympic style of sparring at many different rankings and levels of events.

We compete against other Taekwondo Martial Arts schools, with the determination of being the best of the best. Sparring Competitions are also held at: Virginia State Junior 'levels, Senior Championship, Junior Olympic Games, United States National Championships and many others!!

  What is testing?
In order for you to earn your next rank, your skills and knowledge have to be examined by a Certified Dragon Yong-In Martial Arts Center Examiner in front of witnesses. All rank' levels are requiring a verbal and physical promotion examination. Promotion exams are given to measure one's progress and correct one's mistakes. At the exams, all the past hours of intense effort, training, and perseverance are rolled up into one demonstration of what you have accomplished so far.
 
 
  We can provide children, teens and adults with special training in martial arts seff defense, control, and respect. Grandmaster Brian Kwan Hyoung Jo has assisted in training the Military Police and Special Forces.

  Do you know what "Chin-gu" means in Korean? It's FRIEND.
Every other month at Dragon Yong-In Martial Arts, we will have special day for your friends: Chin-gu Day. On Chin-gu Day, your friends can come to our School during your regular class time and join in the fun. Bring as many friends as you want!
